A Man's Life
After God created the universe. He though that he should specify the lives those he created.
He asked the donkey: " are you satisfied that you will live for 30 years?"
"Ah, God. 30 years is too long." The donkey answered. " You should think of me, working at the mill and pulling carts. Carrying everything; Suffering the whip each day. Let me live for fewer years."
God was very sympathetic and reduced its life by 18's year. So it would live for 12 years. The donkey felt satisfied and walked away.
Then the dog came. God asked the dog if he wanted to live for 30 years. The dog thought that he had to bark and run every day. So he asked the God let it live for less than 30 years. God agreed with that and deducted 12 years.
Next come Monkey.
"Are you willing live for 30 years?"
"God." He replied. "In the past I hope so. But now, it is different. People always make me do funny tricks. I look silly. I couldn't bare that for 30 years. Let me live for fewer years."
God thought that was reasonable and reduced its life by a decade.
Finally, a man appeared. He was so happy, healthy and full of vitality.
"You may live for 30 years.' God said, "Is it long enough?"
"No. It is too short to build a house. Cultivate land, get married and begin a career." the man said. "Just when I am enjoying the life. I would die. How sad that would be." God saw man's optimism and said: "All right. I will add to your life the donkey's 18 years, the dog's 12 years and the monkey's 10 years." After the man heard that, he was still not content. But the God had gone.
So, the man's life span is 70 years.
He lives healthily and happily for the first 30 years. The following 18 years are from the donkey, he has to bear heavy loads; The next 12 years are from the dog, his teeth begin to fall out and he can't chew his food; The last 10 years are from the monkey, he became old and confused. Children laugh and make fun of him.
